I recently took a trip from Lubbock, Texas to Ruidoso, New Mexico and back to Lubbock, Texas on a 98 Savage. I went with a friend on a 1200 Victory and had no trouble keeping up with him even when going up the skii mountain at speeds of 70-75 mph. Off course, he lost me after 85 mph. The bike handled real well during the 600 mile trip that day. There were only two drawbacks during the trip: 1) frequent stops for gas fill ups due to tank size and 2) unconfortable seat for long rides which also caused frequent breaks. But, overall, the trip was a very positive experience. Way to go Savage!
